The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Dhamdaha P.S. Case No.174 of 2021 instituted under Sections 302, 304B, 498A/34 of the IPC.

As per the prosecution story the victim lady was married to the petitioner herein but was regularly tortured for want of dowry and on the fateful day it is alleged that she was killed by the husband and his family members. Earlier, a report was called for on 22.09.2023 which has since been received vide letter no. 963 dated 07.10.2023

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.64737 of 2023(3) dt.10-11-2023 2/2 and according to which out of 12 charge sheeted witnesses, 11 have been examined except the I.O. of the case. In that view of the matter, it would be appropriate that the trial is taken to its logical conclusion within a period of four months from today.

The bail application stands rejected with the aforesaid observations.
