JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 25-10-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to pay adequate amount of compensation according to the existing rules for the death of petitioner's minor son, who died on 19.06.2011 due to electrocution in agricultural field.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's minor son Raghu Kumar, aged about 10 years, died on 19.06.2011 and the cause of death in terms of post mortem report was shown as lightening stroke. Pursuant to orders of BHRC, the Disaster

Patna High Court CWJC No.10593 of 2015 dt.25-10-2018 Management Department has paid compensation of Rs. 1,00,000/-. It is submitted that the compensation is inadequate in view of extant circulars dealing with gratuitous relief by way of ex-gratia payment to families of deceased persons (Annexure-8 series).

3. None appears on behalf of the State on repeated calls.

4. Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Principal Secretary, Disaster Management, Bihar, Patna (respondent no. 2) with an appropriate representation for redressal of her grievances. If any such representation is filed within a period of three weeks from today, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law and after grant of opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
