2. None appears on behalf of the petitioner despite repeated calls.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the impugned appellate order dated 05.12.2013 is, in fact, an order of dismissal for default in appearance of the petitioner. The petitioner has not stated anything in the writ petition with regard to the reasons for continuous absence leading to such dismissal.

4. Having regard to the reasons given in the appellate order and the stand of the respondents, the writ petition is devoid of merit and is dismissed as such.
