The petitioner has filed the instant application for modification of the order dated 27.01.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 8668 of 2020, whereby while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Phulwari Sharif P.S. Case No. 724 of 2019, the petitioner was directed to surrender in the learned Court below within a period of four weeks.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No. 2427 of 2024(2) dt.09-02-2024 2/2 petitioner that due to wrong advice provided by learned counsel of the lower Court, the petitioner could not surrender before the Court below within provided time by this Court and accordingly, the period of surrender has expired. Hence, the petitioner prays for extension of his time period for surrender.

It appears from the order dated 27.01.2022 that the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail but he did not comply with the order for more than two years. In view of the casual approach adopted by the petitioner, in complying with the order of this Court, I am not inclined to grant further period of extension. Modification application stands dismissed.
