The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Manjhi P.S. Case No.260 of 2018 registered under Sections 188, 420 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 30, 30(a), 38 of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The informant, a police official intercepted a truck bearing registration No.UP-19T-4378 from which huge quantity of Indian made foreign liquor was recovered.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner surfaced in the case in the confessional statement of co-accused Rohit Pal, the driver of the truck. Save and except the confessional statement of co-accused, there is no material to show the involvement of the petitioner in illegal transportation of Indian made foreign liquor from one place to

Considering the aforesaid facts, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge VI-cum-Special Judge(Excise), Saran at Chapra in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case No.260 of 2018, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
