2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 21 (c), 22 (c), 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act.

3. There is recovery of 30 liters of codeine cough syrup from the two motorcycles and the petitioner was sitting as a pillion rider on one of the motorcycles.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is neither the owner of the said motorcycle nor concerned with in any manner with the said recovery. As a matter of fact, the petitioner had taken a lift as a pillion rider from one of the motorcycle owners without knowing that what is laden on the said motorcycle. It is further

No.64238 of 2025(3) dt.12-12-2025 2/2 submitted that the charge has already been framed, one witness has been examined and there is no likelihood that the trial may be concluded in the near future. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and has been languishing in custody since 12.06.2025.

5. Learned APP for the State opposed the bail petition on the ground of allegations made in the F.I.R.

6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case as also the fact that the charges have been framed in this case, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court below where the case is pending/successor Court in connection with Srinagar P.S. Case No.63 of 2025.
