The petitioner has challenged the order of the Licensing Authority, whereby the P.D.S. licence of the petitioner has been cancelled.

The petitioner does not appear to have availed of the alternative remedy of preferring an appeal which was advised by the Licensing Authority while passing the order. The petitioner would be well advised to prefer an appeal before the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Nalanda

Patna High Court CWJC No.216 of 2022(2) dt.23-02-2022 2/2 at Biharsharif, who is the Appellate Authority. Should such an appeal be filed within a period of 30 days, it shall be taken up for consideration and an order shall be passed within a period of 60 days thereafter. Needless to state that the petitioner would be provided all opportunities of defending his case and explaining his cause.

The order so passed by the authority has to be informed one.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
