2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 103 (1) , 80 and 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 .
3 . It is a case of 'Dowry Death'. As per F.I.R., sister of informant was married with this petitioner in the year 2012 and out of wedlock two children were born . After the marriage , sister of informant was subjected to cruelty and harassment by the accused persons and ultimately, on 19.01.2025 , informant got an information that her sister was admitted in hospital and on reaching there , he saw that dead body of her sister was there with bruises and trace of strangulation . It is further alleged that this petitioner along with other co-accused persons killed sister

4. Petitioner is husband of deceased. Allegation is general and omnibus against this petitioner. No specific overt act is alleged against him. It is further submitted that during course of investigation , statement of the son of deceased was recorded in which it has come that deceased committed suicide by hanging herself in room which was locked from inside . In fact that family members of petitioner have taken deceased to the hospital where she was declared dead.

Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioners and submitted that petitioner is husband of deceased and there is specific and direct allegation against this petitioner that he along with other coaccused persons used to torture and harass the deceased and ultimately , killed sister of informant by strangulation .
6. Considering the fact that petitioner is husband of deceased, nature of accusation and other circumstances of the case , the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioners is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Koushik/- U T
