The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the six - seven accused persons on the point of pistol looted the informant of a truck loaded with sugar, of his belongings including Rs. 5,000/- in cash.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the FIR was registered against unknown. The name of the petitioner transpired in the confessional statement of a coaccused made before police. No incriminating article has been recovered from the petitioner's possession and he has not been

It is further submitted that from the medical report brought on record as Annexure-2 to this petition, it would transpire that the petitioner is suffering from 100 % blindness.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case including the petitioner not having been put on T.I. parade and chargesheet having been submitted in the case, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with S.T. no. 471 of 2021 (arising out of Giriyak P.S. Case no. 155 of 2021) on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. District & Sessions Judge V, Biharsharif, Nalanda. (Partha Sarthy, J) Spd/- U T
