Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner prays for grant of anticipatory bail in Muffasil P.S. Case No. 189/2021 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 304(B)/120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The marriage of the deceased was solemnized in the month of July, 2019 and, thereafter, she has been killed for demand of dowry and torture.

Petitioner is mother-in-law of the deceased and there is direct allegation of demand of dowry and torture against her. Under the facts and circumstances, this is not a fit

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.333 of 2022(2) dt.21-03-2022 2/2 case for grant of anticipatory bail. It is, accordingly, dismissed. The regular bail of the petitioner shall be considered keeping in view that fact that she is looking after a 14 months old child of the deceased.
