2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Aurai P.S. Case No. 175 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Sections 80, 3(5), 85 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. As per prosecution case, the accusation against the accused persons including the petitioner is of subjecting the informant's daughter to cruelty by assaulting and abusing her due to non-fulfillment of demand of motorcycle and cash of Rs. 30,000/- as dowry and ultimately they committed her murder.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.61573 of 2025(2) dt.08-09-2025 2/3 the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence as alleged against him and has falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased and is separate since long from the husband of the deceased. There is no specific or direct allegation of any overt act against the petitioner rather the same is general and omnibus in nature. He further submits that the petitioner has no concern with the alleged occurrence. The husband of the deceased has already surrendered and is in judicial custody. He further submits that actually the deceased has committed suicide and the same is supported by the postmortem report. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is languishing in judicial custody since 06.02.2025 without any rhymes or reason.
5. On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner, stating that the offence alleged is serious in nature.
6. Having heard rival contention of both the parties and considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case as also taking into account the period of custody of the

No.61573 of 2025(2) dt.08-09-2025 3/3 petitioner, the petitioner having no criminal antecedent as also the petitioner being lady, let the petitioner, abovenamed, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Aurai P.S.
