2. The petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Sigori P.S. Case No. 66 of 2023, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC.
3. As per the prosecution case, upon receiving information, the informant and local police discovered the dismembered body of an unidentified woman near Goraiya Asthan. Thereafter, mother of the deceased, identified the dead body and filed an application before the SHO, stating therein that marriage of her daughter was solemnized with co-accused, Lalan Yadav, 10-12 years prior to the date of occurrence and coaccused persons (matrimonial inmates) of the deceased, committed her brutal murder. One week prior to the occurrence,
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.62176 of 2025(3) dt.21-01-2026 2/3 the deceased had come to her mother's house due to torture inflicted by her matrimonial inmates. Thereafter, her father-inlaw came on 22.04.2023 and took her to her matrimonial village where again she was assaulted and ultimately, murdered by strangulating her.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. Learned counsel has also submitted that petitioner is brother-in-law (bhaisur) of the deceased and has no concern with the day-to-day affairs of the deceased. His further submission is that none has seen the occurrence and except suspicion and confessional statement of co-accused persons, there is nothing against the petitioner. Some co-accused persons, who have confessed their guilt, have been granted bail by a coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 20.02.2024 in Cr. Misc. No. 9705 of 2024. He has also submitted that the petitioner is a person of clean antecedent and is under custody since 12.06.2025.
5. On the other hand, the learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that commission of murder of the deceased has vividly been described in confessional statement of the co-accused persons.

6. Several co-accused persons have been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court and petitioner was residing separately from the deceased and there is no reason for the petitioner to have hand in commission of the alleged occurrence.
7. Considering the above-mentioned facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above-named, is directed to furnish bail bond and on doing so, the court below shall release the petitioner on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M.F.C., Danapur, Patna in connection with Sigori P.S. Case No. 66 of 2023, subject to the following conditions that the petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court.
