In this case, the petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Jagdishpur P.S. Case No. 239 of 2019, registered for the offences punishable under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 (a) of Prevention of Corruption Act.
A video has been made viral showing that the police personnel were extracting money from the truck drivers.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.60002 of 2019(3) dt.20-11-2019 2/2 The name of the petitioners has also been mentioned in the FIR. Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioners surrender before the Court below within three weeks from today and pray for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order preferably on the same day without being influenced by the order of this Court.
