Patna High Court CWJC No.14488 of 2013 dt.23-10-2024 2/3 ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 23-10-2024 The petitioners have filed this writ petition challenging the Advertisement dated 16th January, 2013 published in Daily Hindustan inviting applications for contract appointment of 100 posts of Kosi Social Worker and other posts by the Project Director, Bihar Aapda Punarwas Avam Punarnirman Society, Govt. of Bihar Patna.
2. On perusal of paragraph 8 of the writ petition, it appears that the Project Director, BAPES, Govt. of Bihar, Patna had issued the aforesaid advertisement dated 16.01.2013 for appointment of 100 Social Workers on contract basis for a period of one year.
3. No counter affidavit has been filed by any of the respondents, though the writ petition was filed in the year 2013.
4. The writ petition is directed against the advertisement dated 16.01.2013 for appointment of 100 Social Workers on contract basis for a period of one year. Assuming that the recruitment for appointment of 100 Social Workers on contract basis for a period of one year was conducted in terms of advertisement dated 16.01.2013 and thereafter appointments were made on contract basis for a
Patna High Court CWJC No.14488 of 2013 dt.23-10-2024 3/3 period of one year, since the advertisement dates back to the year 2013 even if the appointments were made pursuant thereto on contract basis for a period of one year, tenure of such appointments made is likely to have come to an end with the passage of time.
5. Accordingly, there appears to be no live issues to be determined by this Court in the present writ petition. The writ petition stands dismissed.
