2. In such circumstances, we do not find any reason to keep the matter pending. However, we caution the 2nd respondent insofar as such incidents not being repeated, especially of an F.I.R. not being registered on an information being received. We specifically emphasize this since a lawyer, who was assaulted on the streets approached the police station, who delayed the registration of the F.I.R.

3. The writ petition shall stand closed, however, with the above caution expressed.
