The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Baisi P.S. Case No. 152 of 2020 registered for the offence under Sections 274, 275 and 276 of the Indian Penal Code ; Sections 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act; and Sections 27(b)/(ii), 27(d) and 28 of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act.

14,560 bottles of Escof Cough syrup were recovered from the printing press of one Kaji Naumanul Haque, who was arrested on the spot. He has stated that the petitioner is the owner of the recovered cough syrup.
