Petitioner, Shakuntala Devi, is in custody since 24.06.2016 in Bhabhua P.S. Case No. 392 of 2016 registered under Sections 341, 323, 427, 353, 504 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

The allegation against the petitioner is that she assaulted the lady constable when the constable stopped her from entering to the Civil Court.

In view of the nature of allegation and period of detention and that the petitioner is a lady, I direct the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 5,000/- (Five Thousand rupees only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kaimur in connection with Bhabhua P.S.
