In the present case, the petitioner is seeking a relief that he should be appointed as PDS dealer. Father of the petitioner was running the PDS shop and he died on 8.10.2015 leaving behind wife and two sons and six daughters.

The petitioner has applied for the licence for running a PDS shop on compassionate ground before the District Magistrate-cum-Chairman of Compassionate Appointment

Patna High Court CWJC No.14022 of 2016 (2) dt.12-05-2017 Committee, Gopalganj. The Block Supply Officer, Gopalganj recommended the case of the petitioner for granting licence but final decision has not been taken as yet. In such view of the matter, District Magistrate-cumChairman of Compassionate Appointment Committee, Gopalganj is directed to consider the case of the petitioner and take a final decision within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid observation and direction this writ petition is disposed of.
