This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offences under Sections 498A and 364 of the Indian Penal Code and 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The petitioner is father-in-law of the victim-girl. Allegation is that the victim is still missing for nonfulfillment of dowry demand. Submission of the petitioner is that prior to the present case, the husband of the victim, who is already in custody, had lodged the case with Amritsar police that the victim had accompanied him to Amritsar, but, she is missing. Therefore, the occurrence allegedly took place at Amritsar and after that the family members have been roped in this case.

Considering the aforesaid fact, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.14317 of 2017 (2) dt.29-03-2017 2/2 furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Sessions Trial No. 850 of 2016 arising out of Beur P.S. Case No. 216 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Additional Sessions Judge, IX, Patna, or successor Court.
