The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 495 of 2016, registered under Section 30(a) of the Excise Act and Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code. The accusation is of recovery of 50 bottles, each containing 180 ml Nepali Sofia kept in a bag, from possession of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is in custody since 21.12.2016.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of

No.16808 of 2017 (3) dt.27-04-2017 the case, the petitioner above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, in connection with Muffasil P.S.
