The application for habeas corpus has been filed by the petitioner claiming illegal detention.

In the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the State, it is clearly explained that in terms of the provisions of law, the petitioner would be entitled to release only on expiry of his period of imprisonment on 16.1.2015 which, as a matter of fact, has been done.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to show

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.1206 of 2014 (4) dt.09-02-2015 how there has been any illegal detention even for a single day in the matter.

In the aforesaid circumstances, the application is dismissed.
