Heard counsel for the petitioner as well as the State counsel who have appeared through virtual mode. In the instant proceedings, placing reliance on a letter dated 03.06.2009, petitioner's counsel submits that petitioner would be approaching the State Authority for consideration in respect of his posting at a place where her husband is posted. Since this Court is not called upon to adjudicate enforceability of the letter and the petitioner is merely seeking to approach the authorities. The writ application thus need not be kept pending.

This application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority (Respondent No. 3). In case an application is filed within a week, the respondent No. 3 should consider the petitioner's claim within eight weeks, in accordance with law.
