2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Madhepura P.S. Case No. 711 of 2025 registered for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2022.

3. The recovery is of 8000 pieces of codeine rich cough syrup.

4. The petitioner is in custody since 28.06.2025.

5. Considering the quantum of recovery, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

8. In view of the above, the Superintendent of Police, Madhepura is directed to examine the records of the case and if he finds that the offence under the Sections of NDPS Act has been committed then he will take necessary steps for adding the offence under NDPS Act.

9. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Madhepura through FAX for its compliance.
