The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, 99 litres of liquor was recovered from the shop of the petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 26.4.2022 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no. 67307 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after completing one year in custody. The petitioner is in custody since 25.10.2021.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.61397 of 2022(2) dt.23-11-2022 2/2 taking into consideration the liberty granted by the aforesaid order dated 26.4.2022 together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 1 year, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Thawe P.S. Case no. 218 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge II, Gopalganj.
