The petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order communicated vide letter dated 3.3.2014 (Annexure 4), issued by the Commandant, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 47 Battalion, Koilwar, Ara (Bihar) by which petitioner's claim for appointment on compassionate ground has been rejected. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner died in harness on 29.5.2011 while serving as a constable in the CRPF. Application for compassionate appointment was made on behalf of petitioner's elder brother which was not entertained by the respondent authorities vide communication dated 22.11.2013 (Annexure 1) on the ground of

Thereafter, the petitioner made his claim for the compassionate appointment which has also been rejected by the respondent authorities vide communication dated 3.3.2014 (Annexure 4) on the ground that he is the married son of the deceased employee and a married son is not considered dependent on a Government servant in view of the Government's policy contained in DoP & T's Memo no. 14014-02/2012-Establishment (D) dated 30.5.2013 (Annexure A to the counter affidavit). The clarification/policy of the Government, in relation to appointment on compassionate ground, contained in Annexure A, is uniformly applied to all the concerned. The petitioner has not challenged the aforesaid clarification of the Government. In view of the specific stand of the respondent authorities, the writ petition is devoid of merit and is thus dismissed. (Madhuresh Prasad, J) Shashi.
