2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Section 304(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

3. It is a case of dowry death.

4. Petitioner is husband of the deceased. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner has not committed any offence. During course of investigation, it has come that deceased committed suicide. In fact, father-in-law of petitioner has also stated that the deceased has committed suicide and no one has killed his daughter.

5. Learned counsel for the informant opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail and submitted that petitioner is husband of the deceased and there is specific and direct

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.60193 of 2022(4) dt.17-07-2023 2/2 allegation of demand of dowry against him and his other family members. The deceased died within seven years of marriage at her matrimonial house in an unnatural circumstances.

6. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and the fact that petitioner is husband of the deceased and there is specific allegation of demand of dowry, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and same is, accordingly, rejected.
