Patna High Court CWJC No.16055 of 2022 dt.25-11-2022 2/3 compensation to the petitioner as his mother (Bachia Devi) died of electrocution on 05.02.2022 due to wrong action and negligence on the part of the respondents.
ii. For issuance of appropriate writ/order or direction commanding the respondent authorities to make payment of exgratia amount for sudden and accidental death due to negligence on the part of the electricity department.
iii. For any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner is found entitled in the opinion of this Hon'ble Court."
Shri Vinay Kirti Singh, learned Senior Counsel, appearing on behalf of the Respondents states that if the petitioner were to approach Respondent No. 7, namely The Executive Engineer, Power Supply Division, (NBPDCC), Sheohar, petitioner's grievance shall be addressed with promptitude.
As such, as prayed for, petition is disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to approach Respondent No. 7, who shall positively, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such request, decide the issue by passing a speaking order. Copy thereof shall be supplied to the petitioner. Liberty reserved to the petitioner to take recourse to such remedies as are otherwise available in accordance with
Patna High Court CWJC No.16055 of 2022 dt.25-11-2022 3/3 law, should the need so arise subsequently.
Petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
