BAJANTHRI) 18-07-2023 The present contempt petition is filed for noncompliance of the order dated 28.06.2017 passed in LPA No. 830 of 2016.
2. Contempt petition was filed in the year 2018, whereas the compliance of the orders of this Court is on 30.06.2023. It is to be noted that official respondents have not submitted any application before lapse of time stipulated by this
Patna High Court MJC No.985 of 2018(5) dt.18-07-2023 2/2 Court in the order dated 28.06.2017. Thereby, the concerned officials have committed contempt of Court in not complying the orders of this Court dated 28.06.2017 for about six long years.
3. Therefore, the respondents are hereby directed to pay a cost of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only). Cost shall be remitted in the Patna High Court Legal Services Committee within a period of four weeks' from today.
4. The petitioner is at liberty to assail the order dated 30.06.2023 vide Annexure-A & B to the show-cause, in accordance with law.
5. Accordingly, the present MJC-contempt petition stands dropped.
