This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Sections 20, 22 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Petitioner was driver of the vehicle from which ganja was recovered. The passengers, traveling along with the ganja, were also apprehended at the spot.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. He had no knowledge about the said narcotic drug. The petitioner is in custody since 20.08.2016. further, submission is that there is no allegation of tampering with the evidence and the petitioner is ready to cooperate with the trial.

Considering the facts and circumstances, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.22168 of 2017 (3) dt.22-06-2017 2/2 the like amount each in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 322 of 2016 G.R. No. 1367 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the District & Sessions Judge, Gaya, or successor Court with the condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the trial of the case, failing which the bail bond of the petitioner shall be cancelled by the Court below itself.
