JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 23-06-2022 The present petition has been filed for issuance of passport to the petitioner, which has been denied to the petitioner on account of his conviction in connection with Choutarwa P.S. Case No. 178 of 1999.
Though the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has already been granted bail by an order dated 03.09.2014, passed in Criminal Appeal (D.B.) No. 736 of 2014 by a learned Division Bench of this Court and the sentence has been suspended, but admittedly there is no stay of the judgment of conviction passed by the learned court below, resulting in non-issuance of passport to the petitioner, hence the Ld. counsel for the petitioner prays that the petitioner be granted
Patna High Court CWJC No.20493 of 2018(3) dt.23-06-2022 2/2 liberty to seek stay of the judgment of conviction passed by the learned court below and then the petitioner be further granted liberty to approach the appropriate authorities for issuance of passport.
Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed off with the liberty aforesaid to the petitioner. (Mohit Kumar Shah, J) S.Sb/- U
