2. With the consent of the parties, the present writ application is being disposed of at this stage itself.

3. This writ application has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground as petitioner's father died on 15.07.2012, while performing his duty as a driver, the permanent post under BSRTC, while driving a bus of the corporation.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for

Patna High Court CWJC No.16433 of 2013(6) dt.20-08-2025 2/3 seeking compassionate appointment, the petitioner had filed an application dated 12.10.2012 (Annexure 2 series) but the same has not been disposed of till date.

5. Learned counsel therefore, prays that the petitioner would be satisfied if the Administrator of Bihar State Road Transport Corporation could be directed to dispose of the application for claim of compassionate appointment which the petitioner had filed on 12.10.2012 (Annexure 2 series) within a fixed time frame after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

6. Learned counsel appearing for BSRTC and respondent-State do have any objection to the above prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

7. Considering the limited nature of prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ application is disposed of directing the Administrator Bihar State Road Transport Corporation to disposed of the application dated 12.10.2012 filed by the petitioner claiming compassionate appointment after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

8. The entire exercise must be completed by the Administrator BSRTC within three months from the date of

9. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present application is disposed of. Pending IAs, if any, will be deemed to have been disposed of.
