2. At the outset, learned Advocate for the petitioner seeks permission to make the Treasury Officer, Patna Collectorate as party respondent no.9 in the present writ petition.

3. Permission is accorded.

4. The petitioner has approached this Court on being

Patna High Court CWJC No.14468 of 2024(2) dt.23-07-2025 2/3 aggrieved with the inaction of the respondent authorities in not extending the retiral benefit(s) and other dues along with the statutory interest despite he being superannuated on 31.01.2019 from the post of Constable.

5. Counter affidavits have been filed on behalf of the respondents no.4 and 5 to 8 with a specific contention that all the admissible retiral benefits and other dues have been paid to the petitioner.

6. At this juncture, learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that though the final GPF amount was duly authorized vide letter no.306 dated 17.03.2025; however, till date the payment has not been done.

7. Learned Advocate for the State submitted that the authority letter has already been issued way back in the month of March, 2025, the same is required to be verified at the level of the concerned Treasury Officer.

8. Considering the facts, afore-noted, and the submissions set forth by the learned Advocate for the respective parties, this Court deems it fit and proper to dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the newly added respondent no.9, to ensure the payment of full and final GPF amount to the petitioner, preferably within a period of four weeks from today.

9. In case of non-payment of the same within the stipulated period, the petitioner shall be entitled to get 8% interest over the delayed payment, which shall be realized from the erring official(s).

10. The writ petition stands disposed off.
