JUSTICE BIBEK CHAUDHURI ORAL ORDER 02-04-2025 The son of the petitioner was found missing since 24th June, 2021. The said incident was followed by filing of a missing diary and an FIR. Investigation of this case is still in progress but the missing boy of the petitioner has not been recovered as yet. Therefore, the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the police authority for proper investigation.

2. In compliance with the order passed by this Court, Mr. Jha, learned advocate on behalf of the State/respondents has filed an updated report. In paragraph-5 of the said report, the respondent no.4 elaborately stated the steps taken till now for

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.1691 of 2023(8) dt.02-04-2025 2/2 recovery of the missing boy. The copy of the said report is also perused by the learned advocate on behalf of the petitioner.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that when the petitioner was missing, he was in association with one Chandra Shekhar Mehta, S/o Prabhu Narayan Mehta and Manoj Kumar Mehta, S/o Sita Ram Mehta. The investigating officer did not examine them. If the said two persons were examined, some tip-off might be obtained.

4. Under such circumstances, the instant writ petition is disposed of directing the investigating officer to examine the above named two persons within 15 days from the date of communication of this order under Section 161 of the Cr.P.C.

5. With the above order, the writ petition is disposed of.
