JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 19-06-2023 The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that though the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license was rejected by the District Magistrate, Patna vide order dated 12.01.2015, however, upon an appeal being filed by the petitioner, bearing Arms Appeal No. 185 of 2015, the learned Court of Divisional Commissioner, Patna by an order dated 26.04.2016 has remanded the matter back to the District Magistrate, Patna for passing fresh orders after obtaining fresh police report and adhering to the directions issued therein. However, till date

Patna High Court CWJC No.16477 of 2022(2) dt.19-06-2023 2/2 the District Magistrate, Patna has not passed any order with regard to the application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to dispose off the present writ petition with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner, filed for grant of arms license, in case the same has not already been disposed off, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
