Petitioner is languishing in custody since 08.01.2016 in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No. 8 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Section 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

It appears that someone demanded ransom from the informant through mobile call. During investigation coaccused Awadhesh Kumar was arrested and he confessed that the petitioner is his criminal associate. The petitioner has stated on oath that he has got clean antecedent. Moreover, there is no direct evidence against the petitioner in respect of the offence alleged. Considering the facts and circumstances, let
