The grievance of the petitioner is discrimination in the matter of grant of promotion as University Professor. In para-13 of the writ petition specific stand has been taken by the petitioner that in the matter of grant of promotion to Dr. M.M.Mishra of the same college different standard has been adopted by the respondent-University which is supposed to adopt one and the same yardstick in the matter of consideration of promotion of its employees. If Dr. M.M.Mishra and others were granted promotion and the case of the petitioner is similar
Patna High Court CWJC No.3166 of 2018(3) dt.11-05-2018 2/2 to him, then the petitioner's case may also be considered by the respondents for grant of similar benefits including consequential benefits.
In case Dr. M.M. Mishra and others were granted promotion erroneously, the University should adopt corrective measures after opportunity to the persons likely to be affected. The entire exercise must be completed by the respondents within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
