JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-04-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "I. For direction to the respondent authorities to select the petitioner to the post of Home Guard under Samastipur District against the vacant post of Advertisement No.-1/2009 whose vacant post was carried forward to the subsequent Advt. which are still vacant.

II. For direction to the Respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and take an appropriate decision within a reasonable period.

For direction to hold and declare the decision of District Level Selection Committee as arbitrary, unreasonable, malafide and discriminatory whereby and whereunder the petitioner though successful in all Physical Proficiency Test in Advt. No.-1/2009 but, when the final list of successful candidates prepared petitioner was declared not selected as wait listed candidate.

IV. For direction on the basis that petitioner belongs to Rural area and there is no option given by petitioner for urban area."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
