The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case is that Mahanth Ramroop Das, Kabirpanthi Math situated in village Mathura sold the land of the Math to the petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a bonafide purchaser and the land was purchased by the petitioner for consideration amount of Rs.2,20,000/- on 20.05.2015 when the case has been registered on 06.09.2015 and if at all the petitioner has actually been cheated by the Mahanth.
