In the present case, the petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Naya Ram Nagar P.S. Case No. 116 of 2016 for offence under Sections 47 of the Bihar Excise Amendment Act.

As per prosecution, huge quantities of liquor have been recovered from the vehicle. Altogether there were three persons on the vehicle and, out of them, two persons, namely, Rakesh Kumar Singh (petitioner) and Govind Kumar Singh got succeeded in fleeing away and one person was arrested by the police. On query, the apprehended person, namely, Rohit Kumar Singh, disclosed the name of the petitioner who is also involved in

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24043 of 2017 (2) dt.01-07-2017 the liquor business.

This Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner, namely, Rakesh Kumar Singh @ Santu Singh is rejected.

If the petitioner surrenders before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, the court below will pass an order on the same day without being prejudice by this order.
