The writ application has been preferred for a direction to the respondents to register a case on the basis of report of the petitioner against the brother-in-law of the petitioner, Pankaj Kumar, and sister-in-law, Malti Devi, who have allegedly brutally assaulted to the petitioner on 28.09.2016. Further, prayer is for taking legal action against respondents 7 and 8 and protection to the life of the petitioner and her children at the hands of the accused of the case.

The respondents in the counter affidavit have stated that Patrakar Nagar P.S. Case No. 390 of 2016 has already been registered on the basis of the statement of the petitioner against the named accused persons. The accused persons have moved the learned Sessions Judge, Patna, for anticipatory bail vide A.B.P.

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.47 of 2017 (3) dt.07-08-2017 2/2 No. 402 of 2017 and interim protection has been ordered by the learned Sessions Judge.

Since, main grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and only grievance remains is protection of life and liberty, this writ application is being disposed off with direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, and the Station House Officer, Patrakar Nagar Police Station, Patna, to take appropriate steps for protection of the life and liberty of the petitioner. With the aforesaid observations, this application stands disposed off.
