JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 25-10-2019 The petitioner states that his wife was working as Angabari Sevika at Centre No.73, Birbalpur, Panchayat Kathbangaon in the district of Banka. She is said to have died in harness. The petitioner is relying on a letter dated 29.02.2016 issued by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, which provides for payment of a sum of Rs. Four lakh to the nearest dependent of an Anganbari Sevika, who dies in harness. This writ application has been filed seeking direction for payment of the said amount of Rs. Four lakh in terms of the Government decision as contained in letter dated 29.02.2016

Considering the nature of grievance, which the petitioner has raised, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Banka, to consider the petitioner's claim within two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. If the petitioner is found entitled to any amount under the said scheme by the District Magistrate, the same must be paid to him within one month thereafter.

This application stands disposed of with the observation and direction as above.
