The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No. 183 of 2025 instituted for the offence under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 110, 85, 352, 351(2) & 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3 & 4 of the D.P. Act.

The informant reported that after her marriage with petitioner in the year 2022, she was harassed and tortured by her husband and in-laws for a dowry demand of Rs. 5 lakhs despite already giving cash and gifts. On 12.05.2025, she was brutally

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.63948 of 2025(2) dt.10-09-2025 2/3 assaulted, and her mother-in-law attempted to force poison on her; due to injuries, she was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Araria for treatment.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 03-07-2025. Petitioner bears no criminal antecedent, as per disclosure made in paragraph No. 3 of the bail application.

It has been further submitted by the petitioner's counsel that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. Petitioner is the husband of the informant. There is no specific allegation against the petitioner, rather same is general and omnibus in nature. So far as injury is concerned, the same is found to be simple in nature and that too is attributed to the mother-in-law of the injured. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is ready to keep his wife with full honour and dignity.

Learned A.P.P. for the State and learned counsel for the informant have vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, period of custody of the petitioner and there being no specific allegation against the petitioner as also he is ready to

Let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No. 183 of 2025.
