Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per F.I.R., this petitioner demanded bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the beneficiaries of the Awas Yojana. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case only because his brother, who is a Mukhiya, did not act as per the desire of the complainant. Petitioner is not an officer bearer and simply brother of the Mukhiya and as such, there is no occasion for him to demand bribery. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.
