Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 7/13 (I) of prevention of Corruption Act. As per the case of the prosecution, the petitioner being a Awas Sahayak demanded Rs.10,000/- from the beneficiaries for construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case by the B.D.O. Not a single penny has been received by the petitioner. None of the beneficiaries supported the prosecution case. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner is named in the FIR and there is a direct allegation of demanding bribery

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.73034 of 2022(3) dt.13-04-2023 2/2 from the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The informant in his restatement and the witnesses during investigation have supported the case of the prosecution.
