The petitioner filed this writ petition against the order dated 27.06.2019 passed by the Collector, Supaul by which the Pre-emption Appeal No.5 of 2017 was ordered to be abated in view of the Act 6 of 2019 by which Section 16(3) of Bihar Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling Area and Acquisition of Surplus Land) Act has been deleted. Consequently, after deletion of Section 16(3) of the Act, the right of pre-emptor is abolished. Since the Collector has ordered for abatement of the appeal, I find no illegality in the order.
