The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 148 of 2015 for the offences instituted under Sections 341, 323, 379, 504/34 of the IPC and 3⁄4 of the D.P. Act.

The accusations are of assaulting and torturing the informant for non-fulfilment of dowry demand by the accused persons.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent. The petitioner no. 1 is

No.11202 of 2016 (2) dt.25-04-2016 2/2 the mother-in-law, petitioner no. 2 is the father-in-law, petitioner no. 3 is the Phua, petitioner no. 4 is the sister-in-law (Nanad) and petitioner no. 5 is the Dewar of the informant. There is no specific allegation made against the petitioners. General and omnibus allegation has been made.

On behalf of the State it has been submitted that the petitioners are named in the F.I.R.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above named, be released on bail in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 148/2015 on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Madhubani, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
