ANJANA PRAKASH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 07-04-2016 The Petitioner seeks revision of the judgment of conviction dated 24.2.2016 passed by the VIth Additional Sessions Judge, Gaya in Criminal Appeal No.31 of 2014/ 51 of 2014, by which he has upheld the conviction of the Petitioner under the provisions of Arms Act and maintained the sentence of one year and six months R.I. and fine of Rs.2000/-, in default of which simple imprisonment for another two months, passed by judgment dated 19.6.2014 by the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Gaya in G.R. case No.277 of 2008/ Trial No.572 of 2014.
Having gone through the impugned judgment, I do not find any reason for interference. However, considering the period of custody of the Petitioner, the sentence is modified to the period
Patna High Court CR. REV. No.284 of 2016 dt.07-04-2016 2/2 already undergone by him. However, he is required to deposit the fine as directed by the Court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order, failing which he shall be sentenced to imprisonment as directed by the court below.
With the aforesaid modification in sentence, the revision application stands dismissed.
