1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "(i) To issue appropriate Writ order in nature of the Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant appropriate compensation to the Petitioner on account of the maternal death of his wife namely Petitioner's Wife Kumari at the Jehanabad Sadar Hospital on 22.07.2017.

(ii) To issue appropriate Writ order in nature of Writ of Mandamus directing Respondents henceforth to initiate an effectual inquiry into the aforesaid maternal death of the Petitioner's wife.

Patna High Court CWJC No.6826 of 2018(3) dt.04-09-2024 2/2 (iii) To issue appropriate Writ order in nature of the Writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to carry maternal death review & the infant death review of the aforesaid death as per the guidelines framed under the National Rural Health Mission / National Health Mission.

(iv) To issue appropriate Writ order in nature of the Writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to henceforth expeditiously dispose the Representations dated 06.09.2017 (Annexure-3) filed by the Petitioner by a reasoned order."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off.
