The grievance of the petitioners is non-payment of remuneration for the period they have worked as Talimi Workers.

The claim of the petitioners in the instant case is that the petitioners have regularly worked as Talimi workers but, unfortunately, they have not paid remuneration for the period they worked. Taking work and denying salary is Beggary which is not permissible in our Constitutional System.

Patna High Court CWJC No.5172 of 2018(3) dt.18-07-2019 2/2 Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Programme Officer, East Champaran, to verify the records as to legality and validity of appointment and also the fact that the petitioners have actually worked. If, on verification of records, it is found that the petitioners have worked, the petitioners should be paid remuneration for the period they have worked on their engagement. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
