Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered under section 498A and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code as well as section 3/ 4 of the D.P. Act.

Petitioner happens to be husband of the informant and it is stated that in compliance of direction of this court, informant went to the house of the petitioner but she was assaulted by the petitioner and her mother-in-law and pressurized her to withdraw the previous case which had been lodged by the informant against the petitioner and others.

The submission on behalf of the petitioner is that informant is not ready to lead her conjugal life with the petitioner though the petitioner has filed matrimonial suit under section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act against the informant.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20454 of 2016 (2) dt.13-05-2016 Moreover, petitioner is in jail custody since 12.1.2016 and is ready to face the trial.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as submissions of the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khagaria in Allouli P.S. Case no. 14/2016.
